Hobby into Career
I have been working in the cosmetic industry since 2000 but have only truly played with make-up for the past five years. While i was working in retail, I had my regular clients/friends ask me for make-overs. It wasn't until one of my regular client asked me to start my own kit so she doesn't have to book me during my retail hours. After taking her advice and starting my own kit, my hobby started to look like a career. Now, my clients are not only asking me to enhance them on special occasions, but also to teach them how to re-create the look. Since then, I've realized my true passion is teaching other's how to build their confidence with a stroke of a brush.

Make-up has always been a necessity in my life. Since the age of 10, I've been fighting with facial and body acne. Body acne wasn't such a concern of mine since I live in Canada, but facial acne ... was something I couldn't face (no pun intended). I learned from an early age how to "colour match" my skin and the terms "hyper-allergenic" and "non-comedogenic". As a teenager, I viewed make-up as my camouflage. I wouldn't leave the house without my foundation to hide my acne and eyeliner to make my Asian eyes appear bigger. Now, as an adult I view make-up as my confident. It's the one thing I can count on to hide my late nights and make my smile brighter.
